Putting the Power in Printing

Printed works for one are tangible and unlike internet ads which may pop up for a moment before being “x’ed” out never again to be seen by the user print media may hang around an office, house or apartment for weeks or even months to be pursued and considered over and over again by the consumer. This tangibility gives print a form of legitimacy (or ‘credibility’ as Forbes puts it) which is derived from the tactile interaction one has with it unlike virtual ads.

Another advantage print has over digital advertising is that it is rare relative to digital marketing. While print is still far from dead it tends to stand out in the modern world due to the fact that more and more marketers are using the net. So while the mind is conditioned to become numb to flashing ad banners conversely results in print advertising tending to pop out to a consumer.
Given its age there are also several whory old myths about print. One of them is that some people may not want to engage with print advertisements at all. However this is actually not true at all. A majority of consumers in fact prefer to get print advertisements over some forms of digital advertising.
